STRAWBERRY BREAD (Ruth Ann’s)

DRY:
3 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon

LIQUID:
1/2 t. almond flavoring (optional)
1 1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 c. mashed fresh strawberries
4 eggs

Combine the dry ingredients together. Combine liquid ingredients and beat with dry ingredients. Grease 2 loaf pans and fill with the mixture. Bake 350° for 1 hour or til a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pans for 20-30 minutes then turn the bread out onto a rack to cool completely.

STRAWBERRY SPREAD

Serve the bread with a mixture of 3 oz. cream cheese and 2 T. of mashed strawberries.
