3 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
food coloring
1 c. water
1/4 t. flavoring
confectioners sugar

Mix together the first 4 ingredients and bring to the boil. Cook til it reaches the hard-cracked stage (305°). Remove from heat, cool to 250° and stir in the flavoring oil. Pour onto a cooled, greased baking sheet in a thin layer and cool. Break candy into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle lightly with confectioners sugar. Food coloring amounts: Peppermint is 6 drops of blue. Cinnamon is 7 drops of red and spearmint is 3 drops of yellow and 4 drops of blue.
