We hope you had a nice Mother's Day and in honor of that we thought a couple of very simple recipes would be our gift for Mom. One is an old Gloria Pitzer recipe and Gloria was a big part of this show for many years. There are two more of her recipes inside. This hash brown casserole like Cracker Barrel restaurant is the great copycat recipes that Gloria came up with so often. You can make her recipes right from simple ingredients right in your pantry. Enjoy - Bob & Rob.
HASH BROWN CASSEROLE LIKE THE CRACKER BARREL (Gloria Pitzer)
Spray a (10x13 inch) oblong baking dish with a non-stick spray. Combine 1 pkg. (2 lbs.) frozen hash browns (partially thawed), 1 onion chopped fine and 6 T. melted butter and place in dish. Add 1 lb. sour cream, 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese and 1 can (10 oz.) cream of chicken soup. Sprinkle crushed corn flakes over the top and drizzle about 4 T. melted butter over that. Bake 350°, uncovered, about 1 hour or til bubbly. Serve piping hot. Refrigerate leftovers. You may freeze.
Hash Brown Casserole like The Cracker Barrel Restaurant recipe is published in our May, 2011 Menu Minder, Issue #331.
