We had a caller that requested a "best ever, greatest coleslaw recipe". Millie called this one in and said her family and friends always ask her to make this coleslaw for them. We had quite a few neighbors call in and say it was the best they ever had. So here is our new...classic coleslaw recipe.
Cream together 2 T. mayonnaise, 1 T. sugar and 1 t. salt. Add 1/4 c. apple cider vinegar and about 1/4 c. water (add more water, 1 T. at a time, to adjust the tartness of the vinegar). Mix well. Toss with 1/2 head finely chopped cabbage, 1 grated medium onion, 1/2 grated green pepper and 1 grated carrot. Coleslaw can be served now or served chilled. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
