NO-SOGGY PIE CRUST RECIPE (from the 1st Ask Your Neighbor recipe booklet, 1960's)

Put 1 c. lard, room temperature, in mixing bowl. Cream with 1 t. salt. Pour 1/2 c. boiling water over mix and whip with beater til creamy. Add 3 c. flour with 1/2 t. baking powder. Stir and cool.
(makes 2 large or 3 small pies)
