HOME MADE CROUTONS (Rob Allison's)
Cube a loaf of day-old French bread and let it sit out a few hours to over night (depending on how "crunchy" you want the croutons to be). Heat a pan with bacon fat and add a couple cloves chopped garlic. Cook garlic til just brown and remove. Fry the breadcubes in the fat til lightly brown. Drain on paper towels. Dust with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over all while they are still warm.
