sketch of Bob above the Barbecue Sauce recipe.

There are many recipes for barbecue sauce out there. I've been told that the best bbq sauce recipes are sweet and simple. Kay called in this very easy and simple barbecue sauce recipe and said friends and family came often for a taste of her barbecue. She said this barbecue sauce was the secret to her "Q"! Make up some of Kay's barbecue sauce and see for yourself.

In a large skillet, saute 1 large onion, chopped fine, in 2 T. canola oil. Add 1-2 cloves crushed garlic, 2 T. prepared mustard, 1 T. Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 c. white vinegar, 1/4 c. light brown sugar, 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste, a few dashes chili powder or to taste and 1/2 c. water. Mix all sauce ingredients well and simmer, stirring, for 45 minutes. Barbecue sauce stores well in the refrigerator. Recipe can be doubled.
