DUKE'S GARLIC COLE SLAW
Duke's Fish And Chips Seafood Restaurant was a legend in Hazel Park for over 40 years! He was also a sponsor of "Ask Your Neighbor" for many years. He gave us this recipe himself. We can still see him running the operation like a general from his wheel chair. Thanks Duke!
1 large head of cabbage, finely shredded
2 carrots, shredded
2 t. salt
1 t. Accent
1 t. garlic powder, or 1 1/4 t. granulated garlic
1 t. white pepper
10 oz. white vineager
4 oz. salad oil
Mix well and chill 1 hour before serving. This dressing may be used on a tossed salad as well. Keep for 3 days in the refrigerator and it becomes sauerkraut.
