If you ever wondered how to make those tasty cheese balls covered with chopped walnuts that cost an arm and a leg at the supermarket...Have no fear we have the walnut cheese ball recipe right here for you...and you get to control how much horseradish goes into your cheese ball!
CHEESE BALL (Ilene's)
2 pkg. (8 oz. ea.) cream cheese, softened
3 T. blue cheese, crumbled
1 T. grated onion
1 T. horseradish
Blend all ingredients together. Put a little olive oil on your hands (so the cheese won't stick to them), form into a cheese ball and roll in crushed walnuts to cover. You can garnish with red and green cherry halves for a holiday appetizer. Serve with 2-3 sleeves of your favorite crackers.
