NESTLES FUDGE FROSTING (Gloria Pitzer)
(This is a smooth, creamy buttercream frosting.)
In big mixing bowl beat together: 1 lb. butter or margarine at room temperature, 1/3 c. warm milk, 1 t. vanilla, 3 c. Nestles' Quick powder and 3 c. powdered sugar (beat in each ingredient, one at a time, beating well after each addition). After the last portion of powdered sugar is added, beat for 6-8 minutes until thick, creamy and smooth. You can use it immediately or refrigerate it, tightly covered, to use within 2 weeks or freeze it to thaw and use within 2-3 months. Sufficient to frost one large, oblong cake or fill and frost a (9 inch) double layer cake.
