Mix 8 oz. of softened cream cheese with a scant 1/2 c. sugar. Fold in 2 c. Cool Whip. Pour into a 10 inch graham cracker crust. Refrigerate for 3 hours to overnight. Before serving top with 1 can cherry pie filling which has been mixed with 1/8 t. almond extract.
