1 1/2 heads of lettuce, torn
3 medium tomatoes, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 lb. ground beef, browned, drained and chilled
3/4 bag Dorito's taco flavored chips, slightly crushed
1 bottle (8 oz.) Kraft Creamy Italian salad dressing
1 pkg. taco seasoning

Toss taco salad ingredients well shortly before serving.
(serves 15)

Note: the taco salad recipe many be halved if it is too large for you. For a crispier salad, add the Dorito's taco chips at the very last minute. For a little more zip you may want to add chopped Jalapeno peppers. If you are like Bob Allison, you will want to add 1/2 c. diced green pepper. You may use 1000 Island dressing in place of the Kraft creamy Italian. And finaly, we are quite sure Rob would chop a few cloves of garlic to toss into the salad!
