skrtch of Bob above the Christmas wreath cookies recipe.


1/2 c. butter or margarine
30 large marshmallows
1-1 1/2 t. green food coloring (or to desired shade)
1 1/2 t. vanilla
4 c. corn flakes
red cinnamon candies

Melt the butter and marshmallows over low heat using a heavy (2 quart) pan or a double boiler, stirring constantly. When melted, remove from heat and stir in 1 t. of the food color and the vanilla (add more food color if desired). Stir in the corn flakes and drop mixture on to waxed paper one tablespoon at a time and shape into wreaths. Decorate with red candies. Let stand til firm (at least 30 minutes). Store in an airtight container or refrigerate or freeze. Silver bead candies may also be used to decorate along with red candies. These cookies can be eaten alone or can be used to garnish other dishes like ice cream or cookies, etc.
