It's hot fudge pudding, it's hot fudge cake? It's a hot fudge dessert and that's all that matters...right?

HOT FUDGE PUDDING (But It's Like A Cake)

Sift together in a bowl 1 c. Gold Medal flour, 2 t. baking powder, 1/4 t. salt, 3/4 c. sugar and 2 T. cocoa. Stir in 1/2 c. milk and 2 T. of melted shortening. Blend in 1 c. chopped nuts. Spread in a greased (9 inch) square pan. Sprinkle evenly with a mixture of 1 c. brown sugar and 4 T. cocoa. Pour over entire batter 1 3/4 c. boiling water. Bake 350° for 45 minutes. To serve, cut in squares and invert onto serving plate. Top with hot fudge syrup remaining in the bottom of the pan.
