1 vanilla bean (long)
2 oz. instant Antiqua coffee
2 c. boiling distilled water
4 c. sugar
3 c. inexpensive unflavored brandy
Slash vanilla bean down the middle and place in gallon jug. In pan dissolve coffee in boiling water. Add sugar and stir til dissolved. Add brandy. Pour over vanilla bean and let stand, covered, 3 weeks at room temperature, agitating every few days.
(makes 1 1/2 gallon)
