Boy have we gotten some calls for this one! Gloria Pitzer gave this recipe to us before the holidays, and the phone lines just keep on ringing for this very simple slow cooker recipe. It's so easy you don't even thaw the turkey or chicken breast before cooking.

1 frozen turkey breast, UNTHAWED
1 lb. can cranberry sauce
1 envelope onion soup mix

Put the turkey, cranberry sauce and onion soup mix into a slow cooker for 2 hours on high and then reduce to low and continue cooking the turkey for 4-5 hours.

NOTE: 1/2 c. orange juice may be added for flavor. If turkey breast does not fit into your crock pot, thaw it first and cut in pieces. This changes the cooking time for the turkey: High for 1 hour then low for 3-4 hours in the crock pot or til tender. Remaining liquid can be used like a stock to cook vegetables, meats, etc. (or for gravy). It can be refrigerated or frozen. You can use frozen chicken breasts in place of the frozen turkey.

The 3-ingredient Turkey recipe is from our December 1997, Menu Minder publication.
